Granada Airport (GRX) information
Introduction
Granada Airport is located in the area known as Vega del Genil, or
plains of the River Genil, 17 kilometres west of the city of Granada
and near the small town of Santa Fe. The single-level terminal handles
mainly domestic flights to Madrid, Barcelona and Mallorca, plus
international flights to London and charter flights to other key cities
in Europe. Approximately 600,000 passengers per year pass through
Granada Airport.
Airport Parking at Granada
Car parking is available for 450 cars. For the first half hour, parking
is free. After that, the hourly rate is a little less than €1;
for long-term parking, the 24-hour rate is about €8. Outside
the terminal entrance is a pick-up and drop-off area; assistance is
available for the mobility impaired.
Amenities at Granada Airport
There are three ATM machines located around the terminal. A small post
office can be found near the meeting hall. The airport has two casual
dining establishments, plus two shops offering local foodstuffs,
liquor, magazines and gift items. Two tour operators have booths at the
airport to assist with further travel plans. There is one VIP lounge
equipped with telephone and internet service. The airport has an
information desk, as well as a tourist information booth.
